Membership in DEFSC includes membership to the USFS.  Membership levels include full, associate, affiliate, parent, coach, basic and honorary members, as defined below.  There is a membership level to meet every skating or non-skating member's needs and interests. Our membership year is June 1st through May 31st of the next year.

Full Membership: Members at this level shall have the right to vote and hold office if 18 years of age or older and will be allowed onto any regular club ice session at no extra charge. The full member shall have access to all privileges offered by the club with the only restrictions being age and/or test level. Membership with U.S. Figure Skating is included.

Basic Membership: Members at this level are either eligible skaters who want to keep their DEFSC as their home club and through it their affiliation with U.S. Figure Skating or non-skating contributory members. Basic members age 18 or older can vote and hold office. All members at this level will be allowed to skate at the monthly club social ice sessions (last Sunday of each month).  In addition, they have access to regular club ice sessions at a cost of $10 per session. Membership with U.S. Figure Skating is included.

Parent/Other Family Membership: One parent/other family membership, at a cost of $25, is included in all youth memberships. Additional family memberships are available at the cost of $25 each. Members as this level who are age 18 or older may vote and hold office.  These memberships do not include access to club ice, except to specific social ice sessions that involve family skating. Membership with U.S. Figure Skating is included.

Coach Membership: Members at this level are afforded the opportunity to coach on club ice sessions. Members at this level must be in a contractual obligation to the Arkansas Skatium, be 18 years of age, and a member of PSA. Coach members can vote and hold office. These members will also have access at a fee to attend seminars and other educational opportunities offered by DEFSC. Membership with U.S. Figure Skating is included.

Intern Membership: Members at this level are learning to skate, but have not yet completed the basic 8 level. Intern members may skate at the monthly club social ice sessions (last  Sunday of each month), and participate in club-sponsored seminars, ice shows and other events at member rates.  Intern membership does not include a membership with U.S. Figure Skating.

Payment of all DEFSC dues shall be delivered to the Membership Chairperson. Payments must be received on time or member privileges will be suspended. Checks should be made out to DEFSC.
